Carbon belongs to aerospace and Formula 1. Light and strong simultaneously. On the wrist, a watch for active life. One you do not feel. The veined surface of UD carbon pulls the piece back toward nature. Wood grain. The same lines, the same underlying order found in the trees of the Risoux. Mechanical and natural. Contemporary and rooted. Both true at once.

The veined surface of UD carbon pulls the piece back toward nature. Wood grain. The same lines, the same underlying order found in the trees of the Risoux. Mechanical and natural. Contemporary and rooted. Both true at once.
The DC6 Night Forest uses UD carbon — unidirectional — not forged carbon. The difference is structural. Forged carbon is fragments of fiber in resin: random, resin-dependent, prone to micro-cracking over time. UD carbon is continuous fiber sheets, each ply rotated 45 degrees from the last, stacked in 30-micron layers. The resin is secondary. The fibers run through the full thickness of the material without interruption. Under impact, force travels along the fibers rather than concentrating at failure points. It does not scratch easily. It does not degrade. It does not develop a patina. In twenty years, the case will be exactly as it is today.

Carbon is porous. A physical reality. The movement lives in a titanium container. The case is then dressed: caseband and bezel in UD carbon, held together by titanium brancards that extend naturally into the lugs. No adhesive. Fully mechanical. Waterproof to 50 metres.
The DC6 Night Forest is read with the hands as much as with the eyes. Titanium on the lugs: clean edges, cold at first contact. UD carbon on the case: warm, textured, immediate. The Pointes du Risoux guilloché — hand-finished on titanium, the DC6's signature since 2018 — is felt under the finger. No crystal over the dial. Two sapphire domes invite the eye inside: the tourbillon at 9 o'clock, the hours and minutes subdial at 3 o'clock.
Three separate processes. One coherent surface. The dial is domed — the movement architecture beneath requires it. A sunray finish applied by hand, striations radiating from the centre outward: light does not reflect uniformly, it moves with the wrist. Anodisation at the voltage limit of the accessible spectrum to reach this topaz green of mountain lakes in clear weather. A few volts off and the shade shifts. Translucent lacquer across the entire surface resonates with the sunray finish, adding depth that anodisation alone cannot produce. The smoked gradient does not exist. A single translucent black circle, applied by airbrush, is read by the eye as depth. Numerals and indices in silver powder, applied by decal transfer in layers. Chapter ring in black gold.
